The cutting diameter is 0.3 inches, supported by a 0.375-inch shank and a neck diameter of 0.219 inches. The AlTiN coating extends tool life in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials by reducing heat absorption at the cutting edge. With 4 flutes and a 2.5-inch overall length, this tool is suited for CNC machining centers running helical interpolation thread milling cycles.
This thread mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers where a single tool must produce multiple thread pitches in the 3/8 thread size range. It handles both internal and external thread forms, making it practical for shops that need versatility without a dedicated tap for each pitch. The 1.25-inch neck length provides clearance for threading into blind holes and standard-depth bores.
