The HARVEY TOOL 53710-C6 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-temperature alloy machining and general precision milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard materials. It carries a 0.0150 inch corner radius, a 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch) mill diameter, and a 3/4 inch length of cut. The AlTiN PVD coating provides thermal resistance and oxidation protection during aggressive cuts. A variable helix geometry reduces harmonic vibration, improving surface finish and tool life in difficult materials. Machinists and toolroom operators working with tight tolerances will find the 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration effective for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup.
This end mill is suited for CNC milling operations in job shops, aerospace, medical device, and precision manufacturing environments where high-temp alloys, hardened steels, and stainless grades are common workpiece materials. Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Seat the 3/16 inch straight-cylindrical shank fully into a high-precision collet or hydraulic chuck before torquing the toolholder to the spindle manufacturer's specification. Ensure the machine spindle is at a complete stop and the CNC controller is in an E-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Do not exceed the toolholder's rated runout tolerance, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a small-diameter end mill of this type.
