The HARVEY TOOL 52662-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. With a 0.062 inch cutting diameter and a 0.01 inch corner radius, this single-end tool delivers controlled material removal at tight tolerances while reducing edge chipping in demanding workpiece materials. The AlTiN physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting environments. The variable helix geometry reduces harmonic vibration, supporting stable cuts during both roughing and finishing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops and precision manufacturing facilities are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is part of the HARVEY TOOL Variable Helix End Mills for Medium Alloy Steels series and is sized for small-feature milling operations in ferrous materials. The 0.062 inch diameter and 3/32 inch length of cut suit it to narrow slots, contour passes, and detail work on steel and stainless steel components. The straight cylindrical 1/8 inch shank is compatible with standard collet-style and hydraulic toolholders. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation follow conventional CNC milling setups. The short flute length and overall length of 1.5 inches make it appropriate for close-clearance work where reach is limited.
Designed for use with standard collet-style and hydraulic toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. Part of the HARVEY TOOL Variable Helix End Mills for Medium Alloy Steels - Corner Radius series.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and the spindle fully stopped. Confirm toolholder collet size matches the 1/8 inch shank diameter before clamping. Follow machine tool manufacturer torque guidelines for collet nuts and toolholder retention. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use to confirm the AlTiN coating and corner radius are free of chips or defects.
