The HARVEY TOOL 52516 is a single-flute, solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations. With a 0.25 inch cutter diameter and a 1.25 inch length of cut, it delivers clean, accurate profiles in a compact geometry. The right-hand upcut flute with a 22-degree helix angle efficiently evacuates chips while pulling them upward away from the workpiece. At 3 inches overall length and a 0.25 inch shank diameter, it fits standard collets and tool holders found on most CNC machining centers and manual mills. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding versatility to slotting and profiling applications. Weighing 0.06 pounds, it is a lightweight tool suited for fine detail work and tight-tolerance jobs.
This end mill is well-suited for applications requiring high chip clearance in single-pass cuts, particularly in soft metals, plastics, and composites where the single-flute geometry prevents chip re-cutting and reduces heat buildup. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from its holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the recommended insertion depth in the collet or tool holder and torqued to the tool holder specification before operation. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as solid carbide tools can fracture under interrupted cuts or improper runout.
