The HARVEY TOOL 51678-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding material applications. Built to miniature stub and standard dimensions, this single-end tool features a 0.078-inch mill diameter, a 0.5 mm (0.020-inch) corner radius, and four helical flutes in a right-hand cutting direction. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 30-degree helix geometry supports both roughing and finishing operations in a compact, stub-length profile suited for close-tolerance work.

This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight corner radii and small-diameter cutting are required. Typical applications include die and mold work, prototype machining, and detailed pocket milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. The centercutting design allows plunge entry. It is installed in a compatible straight-bore toolholder with a 1/8-inch shank bore.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop safety procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or removing the tool from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the collet or set screw is torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or engage coolant-through features, as this tool is not coolant-through rated.
