The HARVEY TOOL 50302-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding cutting applications. It carries a 7/64 inch (0.1100 inch decimal) cutting diameter with a 0.165 inch length of cut and a 4-flute configuration for efficient chip evacuation and finish quality. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduced chatter. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extends tool life in hard or abrasive workpiece materials. This tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC milling equipment and manual mills requiring tight-tolerance work in small-diameter applications.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and finishing cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including hardened steels, stainless, and titanium alloys where AlTiN coating performance is most beneficial. The single-end, right-hand cutting and right-hand flute geometry is the standard configuration for conventional and climb milling on vertical machining centers. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders common to smaller CNC and manual mill setups. Its compact 1-1/2 inch overall length reduces stick-out and supports rigidity in close-tolerance operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8 inch shank collet or tool holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling setup procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet to the recommended grip depth to minimize runout. Verify torque on the collet nut per the collet manufacturer specification and confirm tool runout with a dial indicator before initiating cuts.
