The HARVEY TOOL 50208-C3 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from solid carbide with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this tool handles elevated cutting temperatures and abrasive workpieces. It features a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 3/16 inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation. With 2 flutes and a right-hand cutting and flute direction, it is suited for slotting, profiling, and finishing passes in tight geometries. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments use this end mill for detail work on small features.
This end mill is suited for machining small-feature work in steel, stainless, cast iron, and high-temp alloys where coating durability matters. The 1/8 inch shank diameter matches the cutting diameter, making it compatible with standard collet systems of that bore size. The 1-1/2 inch overall length keeps the tool rigid during high-speed passes. It is a practical choice for CNC milling centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and small radii are required. The fixed helix angle and standard (non-extended) reach keep deflection minimal in short-reach applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for CNC and manual milling machines equipped with collet systems or tool holders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter.
This end mill is installed by machinists using a compatible collet or end mill holder rated for 1/8 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify runout at the collet before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer feeds and speeds recommendations for the specific workpiece material and coating type.
