The HARVEY TOOL 50112-C4 is a solid carbide, diamond-coated corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in aluminum alloys and other non-ferrous materials. With a 3/16-inch diameter, a 9/16-inch length of cut, and a 2-inch overall length, this single-end tool features a variable helix geometry designed to reduce chatter and improve chip evacuation. The diamond PVD coating delivers extended tool life in abrasive materials. Three right-hand spiral flutes and centercutting capability allow both plunge and peripheral cutting operations.
This end mill is suited for precision milling in aerospace, manufacturing, and general machining environments where tight tolerances and surface finish quality matter. The variable helix design makes it particularly effective in aluminum, composites, and wood, though the tool is rated for use in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron as well. Its straight cylindrical shank is compatible with high-precision toolholders, making it a fit for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle applications. Typical users include CNC machinists, toolroom professionals, and production machine operators.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Rated for material applications including aluminum, cast iron, steel, stainless steel, wood, and composites. Shank diameter tolerance is h6 for consistent fitment in standard collet and shrink-fit toolholding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and the tool changer is disabled before changing tooling. Seat the straight cylindrical shank fully into the toolholder and torque the retention mechanism according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning any cutting operation to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
