The HARVEY TOOL 50093 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding material applications. Built with a 0.093 inch diameter, a 0.005 inch corner radius, and a 3-flute variable helix geometry, this single-end tool is engineered to balance chip evacuation with surface finish quality across a broad range of workpiece materials. The 1/8 inch straight cylindrical shank fits standard high-precision toolholders. With a bright uncoated finish and right-hand cutting direction, the 50093 suits both roughing and finishing passes in production and job-shop environments. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers typically run this tool in vertical machining centers and multi-axis milling machines.
This end mill is intended for milling aluminum alloys, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, wood, and composite materials. The variable helix design reduces harmonic chatter, making it well suited for thin-wall aluminum parts and tight-tolerance stainless steel components. The corner radius geometry protects the cutting edge against chipping and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner end mills in the same diameter class. The 0.279 inch length of cut and 1.5 inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth slots, pockets, and profiling operations where reach is limited.
Designed for use with high-precision toolholders. Suited for CNC vertical and horizontal milling applications across steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, wood, and composite workpiece materials. Part of the Harvey Tool Variable Helix End Mills for Aluminum Alloys - Corner Radius series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the 1/8 inch shank in a high-precision collet or shrink-fit toolholder to minimize runout at this diameter. Confirm spindle and toolholder are clean and free of chips before seating the tool. Always verify cutting parameters against the machine tool rated capacity and workpiece material before running the program.
