The HARVEY TOOL 49008-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding machining environments. With a 0.125-inch cutting diameter and a 3-flute configuration, it delivers a balance of chip evacuation and finish quality suited to ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The AlTiN coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, extending tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduces chatter. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, aerospace, mold-and-die, and general precision machining.
The 49008-C3 is sized for fine-detail work, with a 0.1870-inch length of cut and a 1.875-inch reach length, making it suitable for pocketing, slotting, and profiling in tight geometries. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard ER or end mill collet systems. Overall length is 3 inches, providing rigidity for high-speed CNC milling centers. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling on vertical and horizontal machining centers.

Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation to confirm concentricity before starting a cut.
