The HARVEY TOOL 47862 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking, toolmaking, and general machining applications. Built with three flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and a clean square shoulder cut. The mill measures 1/16 inch (0.0625 inches) in diameter with a 3/32 inch (0.093 inches) length of cut and a 2-1/2 inch overall length. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals and plastics where coating adhesion is not required. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
This end mill is intended for small-diameter, close-tolerance work in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and toolholders used in light-duty milling operations. Typical applications include slot milling, profile cutting, and pocket work in aluminum, brass, copper, and engineering plastics. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction follow standard CNC spindle rotation. It is a single-end tool sold individually.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the collet or toolholder and torque to the collet manufacturer's specification. Verify runout after installation before beginning a cut, as small-diameter carbide end mills are sensitive to excessive runout and may fracture under lateral loading.
