The HARVEY TOOL 47635-C3 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for precision chamfering, deburring, and edge-breaking operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This 2-flute tool measures 1/4 inch in cutter head diameter with a matching 1/4 inch shank diameter and an overall length of 2.5 inches. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. Right-hand cutting geometry makes it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this style of chamfer mill for consistent edge prep on precision parts.
This chamfer mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers, VMCs, and manual milling machines in job shop, production, and toolroom environments. The 1/4 inch shank diameter accepts standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders. The short overall length of 2.5 inches supports rigid setups in tight clearance applications. With a length of cut of 0.173 inches, this tool is optimized for light chamfering and deburring passes on machined components in both prototype and production runs.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom practices. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before inserting or removing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque retention hardware to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts.
