The HARVEY TOOL 47618-C3 is a solid carbide chamfer mill designed for deburring, chamfering, and edge-breaking operations on a wide range of workpiece materials. The tool features a 1/4 inch cutter head diameter, 2 flutes, and a 35-degree included angle that delivers clean, consistent chamfer geometry in a single pass. An AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 1/4 inch shank diameter, this chamfer mill suits standard collet chucks and end mill holders found on CNC machining centers and manual mills alike. Installation and operation are handled by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop and production environments.
This chamfer mill is suited for use on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers, knee mills, and similar setups where chamfering, countersinking, or edge preparation is required on metal, composite, or hardened workpiece materials. The right-hand cutting direction and 2-flute geometry make it appropriate for general-purpose chamfering at moderate to high spindle speeds. It is a single-end tool, so both setup time and tool change frequency remain low in typical production cycles.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chamfer mill compatible with standard 1/4 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and tool holders used on CNC and manual milling machines.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists or CNC programmers using standard collet or end mill holder tooling. Confirm the holder bore matches the 1/4 inch shank diameter before seating the tool. Verify spindle speed and feed rate recommendations from HARVEY TOOL or a machining reference for the specific workpiece material and coating before running. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as carbide tools can fail without visible warning signs when run at incorrect parameters.
