The HARVEY TOOL 46624-C3 is a solid carbide double angle milling cutter designed for precision grooving, chamfering, and angular milling operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills. With a 90-degree included angle and a 0.133-inch cutting width, this cutter produces clean, symmetrical V-grooves and angular features in a single pass. The 3/8-inch cut diameter and 3/8-inch shank diameter make it suitable for light to moderate material removal where tight tolerances are required. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. Six teeth provide a balanced combination of chip clearance and surface finish quality.
This cutter is suited for use in job shops, production machining environments, and toolroom applications where angular profiles, dovetail lead-ins, or V-groove geometry must be held consistently. The 1/4-inch neck diameter and 1/2-inch neck length allow access to moderate-depth features without interference from the shank body. With a 2.5-inch overall length, this tool fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders equipped for 3/8-inch shanks. It is most commonly installed by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar ferrous workpiece materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 3/8-inch shank toolholders. No specific compatible machine models or replacement part numbers were stated in the product data.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the 3/8-inch shank in a clean, properly sized collet or side-lock holder and verify runout before cutting. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool path is programmed or set before engaging the workpiece. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speeds and feeds appropriate to the workpiece material and coating type.
