The HARVEY TOOL 46612-C3 is a solid carbide double angle milling cutter designed for cutting symmetrical V-grooves, chamfers, and angular slots in metalworking applications. The cutter features a 90-degree included angle with a 3/16-inch cut diameter and a 0.103-inch cutting width. An AlTiN coating extends tool life by improving heat and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. With 4 teeth and a 2-inch overall length, this tool is suited for precision milling work on CNC machining centers and manual mills in production and job shop environments. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users.
This cutter is applied in operations requiring precise angular profiles, including dovetail prep, engraving lead-ins, and chamfering on ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The 3/16-inch shank diameter allows installation in standard collets and toolholders commonly found in small-to-medium CNC setups. The 3/32-inch neck diameter and 5/16-inch neck length provide clearance for shallow-reach angular cuts without interference in tight workpiece features.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolholder and collet procedures. Secure the shank fully within the collet bore and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification before spindle operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production cuts. Do not exceed the cutter manufacturer recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
