The HARVEY TOOL 46430 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and fabrication applications. With a 0.125 inch mill diameter, a 0.5 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius, this single-end tool is built for tight-tolerance work where edge strength and surface finish both matter. The 30-degree helical flute geometry supports efficient chip evacuation during both roughing and finishing passes. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.125 inch straight cylindrical shank, it fits standard toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and wear resistance required for consistent performance across a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is suited for residential shop, job shop, and production machining environments where small-diameter, close-tolerance milling is required. Typical applications include slot milling, profiling, and contouring in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, wood, and composite materials. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge compared to a sharp-corner end mill, extending tool life in demanding cuts. It is intended for use in CNC machining centers or precision manual mills with a compatible toolholder.
Part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills Corner Radius Stub and Standard series. Compatible with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 0.125 inch shank diameter. Rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, wood, and composite workpiece materials per manufacturer specifications.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of chips before seating the end mill. Runout should be verified with a dial indicator after mounting to avoid premature tool wear or dimensional error. Follow machine manufacturer torque specifications for the toolholder style in use.
