The HARVEY TOOL 45593 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature work. It cuts a 0.093-inch diameter with a 1/64-inch (0.015-inch) corner radius, providing a controlled blend between the flank and face to reduce stress concentrations in the workpiece. The 0.279-inch length of cut and 1.5-inch overall length make this a stub-standard configuration suited for low-deflection, high-accuracy applications. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction with a 30-degree helix angle. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. Intended for installation and use by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC milling operations.
This end mill is built for roughing and finishing passes on a wide range of workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, composites, and wood. The stub-standard form factor keeps the tool short and rigid, minimizing runout and deflection during high-precision miniature milling. It mounts in a standard straight-cylindrical toolholder accepting a 1/8-inch shank. This configuration is well suited to moldmaking, die work, medical device components, and other small-feature machining where corner radius geometry is required to meet print tolerances.
Designed for use with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, composites, and wood per the manufacturer material application designations P, M, K, N, and O.
This tool is installed and operated by qualified machinists following shop-standard toolholding and runout-verification procedures. Confirm toolholder bore and collet size match the 1/8-inch shank before seating. Ensure the spindle and machine are at a complete stop before changing or inspecting tooling. Do not exceed the rated flute length or overhang beyond the specified length of cut, as miniature carbide end mills are susceptible to breakage from excessive lateral load or improper stick-out.
