The HARVEY TOOL 42410-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. This single-end tool features a 0.156-inch mill diameter, a 0.03-inch corner radius, and 3 right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments. With an overall length of 3 inches and an extended long-reach geometry, this end mill handles deep-cavity and hard-to-reach features that standard-length tools cannot access. It is suitable for both roughing and finishing operations.
This end mill is built for machinists running CNC milling centers in job shops, production facilities, and toolroom environments. The stub flute and long-reach configuration makes it well suited for profiling, slotting, and contouring in tight clearance zones or deep pockets. The 3/16-inch straight cylindrical shank seats directly into standard toolholders. Primary target materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite workpieces. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry where required.
Designed for use with standard cylindrical-bore toolholders accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers and milling machines capable of running solid carbide miniature end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the recommended insertion depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for damage before each use, as carbide is brittle and prone to chipping if mishandled or dropped.
