The HARVEY TOOL 41750-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for precision milling in tight-tolerance and miniature applications. With a 0.05-inch mill diameter, 0.01-inch corner radius, and a 2.5-inch overall length on a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank, this tool is purpose-built for extended-reach work where standard-length tooling cannot access. The AlTiN PVD coating improves heat resistance and tool life when cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Three right-hand helical flutes at a 30-degree helix angle support both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. Center-cutting capability allows direct plunge entry. This tool is installed by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on small-envelope parts.
This end mill fits residential and commercial machine shop applications where miniature features, deep slots, or hard-to-reach cavities require extended reach with a stub flute configuration. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites. The stub flute length of 0.117 inches keeps the cutting zone rigid while the 0.4-inch reach length and long-reach neck geometry allow access to recessed features. It is suited for use in standard toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch straight shank.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites as stated in the product specifications.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists using a compatible toolholder rated for the 1/8-inch shank diameter. Verify spindle runout before seating the tool, as miniature-diameter end mills are sensitive to runout-induced deflection and premature breakage. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling in accordance with applicable shop safety procedures. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for stub-flute miniature tools, as the short flute length limits chip evacuation volume.
