The HARVEY TOOL 41308 is a single-end, 4-flute undercut end mill ground from solid carbide and shipped uncoated (bright finish). Designed for undercutting, back-milling, and locking-groove operations, this tool features a 270-degree wrap angle that enables aggressive material removal in applications where standard end mills cannot reach. The 0.125-inch mill diameter pairs with a 0.107-inch length of cut and a 0.076-inch neck diameter, giving the tool the clearance geometry needed to machine undercut profiles in confined pockets. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction are standard. At 0.01 pounds, the tool is suited for precision machining centers running tight tolerances.
This undercut end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers where undercut slots, locking grooves, and T-slot-style profiles are required. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard 1/8-inch collets commonly found on high-speed spindles. The 0.750-inch neck length provides reach into deep pockets while keeping the neck diameter small enough to clear surrounding walls. The 1/16-inch corner radius helps reduce stress concentrations at the base of undercut features. Typical applications include mold and die work, medical component machining, and aerospace part production where undercut geometry is a design requirement.
Designed as an OEM-specification solid carbide undercut end mill for use in CNC machining centers equipped with 1/8-inch collet toolholders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or changing tooling. Seat the 0.125-inch shank fully into the collet and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as even small amounts of runout significantly affect tool life and feature accuracy at this diameter.
