The HARVEY TOOL 39447-C4 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, and composites. The cutter measures 0.0470 inches in diameter with a 0.0050-inch corner radius and carries a diamond PVD coating for extended tool life in abrasive and hard materials. With a 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry and centercutting capability, it handles both roughing and finishing passes. A straight cylindrical shank at 0.1250 inches diameter seats securely in standard toolholders. This tool is installed and used by machinists and toolroom technicians operating CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill belongs to the Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Long Reach, Stub Flute series, making it suited for tight-tolerance work in confined pockets and slots where extended reach is required. The 0.5700-inch reach length and 1.5748-inch length of cut support deep-cavity milling while the stub flute design maintains rigidity. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace components, medical device features, and any precision part requiring a controlled edge radius in steel or non-ferrous metal. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC spindle operation.
Designed for use with standard CNC toolholders accepting a 0.1250-inch straight cylindrical shank. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composites per manufacturer material application data.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Confirm the toolholder bore and collet size match the 0.1250-inch shank diameter before seating the tool. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. At miniature diameters, avoid excessive runout in the toolholder, as even small amounts of radial deviation can cause premature tool breakage or dimensional error.
