The HARVEY TOOL 36275 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. It features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 1.90 mm (0.0750 inch) corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at pocket and slot corners. With 4 helical flutes, a 30-degree helix angle, and a centercutting geometry, this tool handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. The bright uncoated finish is suited for applications where coating is unnecessary or where re-sharpening is anticipated. A straight cylindrical 1/4 inch shank fits standard toolholders without adapters.
This end mill is part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight-tolerance slot milling, pocket profiling, and contour work are required. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and general-purpose job shop work in steel and non-ferrous materials. The single-end configuration and 2.5 inch overall length keep the tool compact and rigid, reducing deflection in short-reach applications. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional vertical machining center setups.
Compatible with standard toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, wood, and composite materials as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before loading or unloading the tool in the toolholder. Verify runout at the shank before operation, as excessive runout accelerates corner radius wear. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut combination.
