The HARVEY TOOL 36245-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 1/4 inch diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.045 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at part edges and extends tool life in interrupted cuts. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides heat resistance and wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. With 4 right-hand spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, it is built for both roughing and finishing operations. Machinists and CNC operators install this tool in standard straight-cylindrical toolholders on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite materials. Its stub and standard miniature series geometry makes it a practical choice for tight-tolerance profiling, slotting, and contouring on small features. The single-end, center-cutting design allows plunge entry and full-depth side milling. It fits residential and commercial machine shop environments as well as production floor CNC operations where consistent edge geometry on small-diameter tools is required.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders and collet-style holders accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Suitable for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composite workpiece materials per the ISO material groups P, M, K, N, and O.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool from the toolholder. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the recommended insertion depth in the collet or holder before torquing the retention mechanism. Inspect the corner radius and cutting edges for chips or coating damage before each use, as micro-chipping on small-diameter carbide tools may not be visible without magnification.
