The HARVEY TOOL 36215-C4 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking and fabrication environments. It carries a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 1/64 inch (0.0150 inch) corner radius. The Amorphous Diamond PVD coating extends tool life and supports material removal across both roughing and finishing operations. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 1/4 inch straight cylindrical shank, this single-end tool mounts directly into standard toolholders. With 4 helical flutes at a 30-degree helix angle and right-hand cutting direction, it delivers efficient chip evacuation and consistent surface finish. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composite materials. It fits standard CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling setups where a 1/4 inch shank toolholder is available. The stub and standard miniature series designation makes it appropriate for tight-clearance applications and work requiring a short, rigid reach. Its centercutting capability allows plunge entry as well as conventional profiling, slotting, and contouring cuts.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch bore toolholders. Compatible primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composite. This tool is part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series.
Installation is performed by machinists and CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder bore and tighten to the toolholder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as even minor misalignment will accelerate wear on a small-diameter carbide tool.
