The HARVEY TOOL 35508-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 1/8 inch (0.125 inch) cutting diameter, 3/16 inch (0.187 inch) length of cut, and a 3-inch overall length, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in production and prototype machining environments. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation, and the AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting speeds. Three flutes deliver a balance of chip clearance and surface finish quality. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators running mills and machining centers.
This end mill suits applications requiring extended reach capability in confined pockets, slots, and profiling cuts. The 1.5 inch reach length and single-end configuration make it well suited for deep cavity work where standard-length tools cannot access the feature. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry where required. It is appropriate for job shops, tool rooms, and production machining operations working with die steels, stainless alloys, hardened materials, and other demanding workpiece materials where an AlTiN coating provides a meaningful performance advantage.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for use in standard CNC machining centers and manual knee mills accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the 1/8 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring adequate clamping depth and runout within machine specifications before initiating a cut. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation to match this tool geometry. Inspect the tool and holder for debris or damage before each use, and follow all machine guarding and PPE requirements per shop safety protocols.
