The HARVEY TOOL 34810-C3 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. The tool features a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) mill diameter with a 0.0100 inch corner radius and four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides heat and wear resistance for extended tool life in ferrous and composite materials. The 5/8 inch length of cut and 2 inch overall length place this in the miniature stub and standard series, suited for tight-geometry finishing and roughing passes in a single setup.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, close-tolerance work is required. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and the straight-cylindrical shank fits standard toolholders. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration is typical for vertical machining center setups handling precision components in steel, stainless, cast iron, composites, and non-ferrous stock. Material removal classification covers both roughing and finishing operations, making it a versatile choice for machinists working across multiple material types without tool changes.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites per primary workpiece material classifications P, M, K, N, and O.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with CNC or manual milling operations. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and within tolerance before seating the shank to the recommended gauge line. Confirm spindle runout is within acceptable limits before engaging the workpiece, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to lateral load from excessive runout. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; external coolant or mist lubrication should be directed at the cutting zone as required by the material and operation.
