The HARVEY TOOL 34705 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 3 mm (0.1180 inch) mill diameter and a 4.5 mm (0.177 inch) length of cut, this single-end tool delivers accurate material removal in tight-tolerance environments. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Three flutes provide a balance between chip clearance and surface finish quality. The bright, uncoated finish makes this tool well suited for general-purpose milling where coating is not required. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop, production, and tool-and-die settings.
This end mill is used in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations. The 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) shank diameter fits standard ER collets and end mill holders. With an overall length of 2.5 inches and a reach length of 0.95 inches, it suits shallow-to-moderate-depth features. The center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into workpiece material. This tool is appropriate for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and similar materials where a bright finish performs reliably.
Designed as a replacement-style solid carbide square end mill compatible with standard 1/8 inch shank tool holders, ER collet systems, and end mill chucks used in CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down or e-stop the machine and confirm spindle rotation has fully stopped before changing tooling. Secure the shank firmly in a clean, properly sized collet or tool holder to the torque specification listed by the holder manufacturer. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and confirm runout is within acceptable tolerance before beginning a cut.
