The HARVEY TOOL 34693 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking and composite applications. With a 3/32-inch (0.0930-inch decimal) cutting diameter, a 9/64-inch (0.1400-inch decimal) length of cut, and a 3-flute geometry, this tool is built for high-accuracy material removal in tight workspaces. The long-reach, stub-flute configuration provides extended access to recessed features while maintaining rigidity. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action across a range of workpiece materials. This end mill is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and CFRP composite materials. The long-reach geometry makes it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations where clearance depth is required but axial engagement remains shallow. The stub-flute design limits deflection and improves finish quality in fine-detail work. Single-end construction and right-hand cutting and flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling setups. It is well suited to both production environments and prototype machining where small-diameter precision tooling is required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and CFRP materials as identified by workpiece material codes P, M, K, N, and C.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator using an appropriate collet or end mill holder sized for a 1/8-inch shank. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured with adequate engagement depth in the holder before operation. Verify runout at the cutting diameter before beginning a production cycle, as runout is especially critical at small diameters. Coolant-through is not supported on this tool; external coolant or mist lubrication should be used as appropriate for the workpiece material.
