The HARVEY TOOL 34293 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and deep-reach applications. With a 3/32 inch (0.093 inch) mill diameter and a 2-1/2 inch overall length, this single-end tool provides extended reach into narrow pockets, slots, and contoured surfaces. The stub flute configuration paired with a 30-degree helix angle supports both roughing and finishing passes. The bright/uncoated finish makes this end mill well suited for dry cutting operations or applications where coating interaction with the workpiece must be avoided. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working with small-feature components will find this tool appropriate for production and prototype environments alike.
This end mill is intended for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals, covering primary workpiece material classifications P, M, K, and N. The 3/4 inch reach length and 0.611 inch neck length allow access to features that standard-length tooling cannot reach. The 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in CNC machining centers and manual mills. It is best suited for applications requiring tight dimensional control in miniature or complex part geometries.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature ball end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard 1/8 inch collets or end mill holders. Suitable for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals as defined by material classifications P, M, K, and N.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the 1/8 inch shank. Verify runout at the tool tip before engaging the workpiece, as even minor runout at this diameter will affect dimensional accuracy and tool life. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling manufacturer recommendations for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
