The HARVEY TOOL 33712-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. This single-end tool features a 3/16 inch cutting diameter with a 1-1/2 inch length of cut and a 3-inch overall length. The 4-flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle support efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating improves heat resistance and extends tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC and manual milling setups. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations in ferrous metals, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys where thermal resistance is a priority. Its compact 3/16 inch diameter makes it appropriate for fine-detail work, narrow slot cutting, and tight-tolerance features common in tool-and-die, aerospace component machining, and precision job shop environments. A licensed machinist or CNC operator typically selects this tool for operations requiring consistent results at smaller diameters.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills with standard collet or end mill holder tooling accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter.
This tool is installed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator into a compatible collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit toolholder. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured to the correct runout specification before beginning any cut. Follow shop-standard feeds and speeds for the workpiece material and coating type. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use, particularly when working with abrasive or hardened materials.
