The HARVEY TOOL 33662-C3 is a square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) for heat and wear resistance, this tool handles tough ferrous and non-ferrous materials at elevated cutting speeds. The 1/16 inch diameter with a 1/2 inch length of cut makes it well suited for fine-detail slotting, profiling, and contouring in tight geometries. The 30-degree spiral helix and three-flute design promote chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pilot hole, and the right-hand cut with right-hand flute geometry is standard for most CNC machining center setups.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where fine features, small cavities, or intricate profiles require a small-diameter tool. The long overall length of 2.5 inches and 1/8 inch shank diameter suit setups where reach into a workpiece or fixture clearance is a factor. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace component finishing, and precision part manufacturing in steel, stainless, titanium, and hardened alloys where AlTiN coating provides thermal protection at the cutting edge.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder sized for the 1/8 inch shank; verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for small-diameter tooling, including appropriate feed and speed selection to avoid tool deflection or breakage.
