The HARVEY TOOL 33460-C4 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 0.06-inch mill diameter, a 0.09-inch length of cut, and a 30-degree helix angle with three right-hand helical flutes. An amorphous diamond PVD coating reduces friction and extends tool life in aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous workpiece materials. The stub flute geometry paired with extended reach makes this tool well suited for tight-tolerance finishing and roughing passes in hard-to-reach cavities. It is a single-end tool with a straight cylindrical 0.125-inch shank and a 2.5-inch overall length.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed milling applications targeting non-ferrous metals. The long-reach, stub-flute configuration is common in mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and precision part production where a small-diameter tool must reach into deep pockets or contoured features without sacrificing rigidity. The 0.03-inch nose radius produces accurate ball-end profiles for 3D surface milling. It is typically run by machinists and CNC programmers who require consistent tool geometry at miniature diameters.
Designed as a miniature ball end mill for use with standard 0.125-inch collet or end mill holder systems on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles processing non-ferrous metals per the Primary Workpiece Material Code N designation.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the 0.125-inch straight shank in a precision collet or shrink-fit holder rated for the intended spindle speed; confirm runout is within acceptable limits before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not use this tool on ferrous metals, as the amorphous diamond coating is not compatible with iron-containing workpiece materials.
