The HARVEY TOOL 33455-C3 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill engineered for precision milling in steel, stainless steel, and cast iron. The cutter features a 1.40 mm (0.0550 inch) mill diameter with a 0.0275-inch nose radius, delivering tight-tolerance profiles in confined geometries. Three spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in both roughing and finishing passes. An AlTiN PVD coating extends tool life in ferrous and abrasive materials by increasing surface hardness and thermal resistance. This end mill is suited for CNC machinists, toolroom operators, and precision-parts manufacturers working in tight tolerance environments.
The 33455-C3 is designed for long-reach applications where access to deep or narrow features is required. The stub flute geometry concentrates cutting action close to the tip, reducing deflection in extended-reach setups. With a 0.2750-inch reach length and a 0.1930-inch neck length, the tool bridges the gap between standard and extended reach tooling. The 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank provides rigid clamping in collet-style and precision end mill holders. This series is well suited for mold and die work, medical component machining, and aerospace detail parts where miniature features demand consistent dimensional control.
Designed for milling steel, stainless steel, and cast iron (ISO material codes P, M, K). Fits any standard 1/8-inch collet or end mill holder. Intended for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles capable of handling miniature tooling.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom professionals. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully and concentrically in a precision collet or shrink-fit holder to minimize runout before engaging the cut. Confirm spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against the manufacturer cutting data for the specific workpiece material before starting. Do not use this tool in worn or oversized holders, as increased runout will accelerate edge chipping on miniature carbide tooling.
