The HARVEY TOOL 33308 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in a wide range of materials. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter and 3/16 inch length of cut, it is built for tight-tolerance slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The 3-flute geometry balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality, making it well suited for both ferrous and non-ferrous applications. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth cutting action and reduced cutting forces. At 2-1/2 inches overall length with a 5/8 inch reach, this tool handles short-reach applications where rigidity is critical. Installation and use require a compatible collet or end mill holder sized to the 1/8 inch shank diameter.
This end mill fits standard CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with a 1/8 inch collet or toolholder. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, enabling ramping and helical interpolation strategies. The right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration is the most common orientation for general-purpose milling. Extended reach geometry provides additional clearance for step-down operations or profiling near walls and shoulders without requiring a longer overall tool.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers or manual mills with a 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or new tooling selection for applications requiring a 1/8 inch solid carbide square end mill with a 3/16 inch length of cut.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians using a compatible 1/8 inch collet, shrink-fit holder, or set-screw end mill holder. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before changing tooling. Verify runout after installation using a dial indicator to confirm acceptable concentricity before cutting. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine OEM guidelines for speeds, feeds, and depth of cut for the specific workpiece material.
