The HARVEY TOOL 33235-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of hardened materials, ferrous alloys, and non-ferrous metals in CNC machining centers and manual mills. This single-end tool carries a 0.9 mm cutting diameter with a 0.053-inch length of cut, making it well suited for fine-feature work, micro-slot cutting, and detailed contouring where tight tolerances are required. An AlTiN coating provides oxidation resistance and extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Three flutes balance feed rate capability with chip clearance in this sub-millimeter diameter range. Installation and setup are performed by machinists and tooling technicians in precision machining environments.
This end mill is appropriate for applications requiring small-diameter, high-precision cuts in materials such as hardened steels, stainless steels, titanium, and similar alloys. The extended reach configuration, with a 0.187-inch reach length and a 1/8-inch shank diameter, allows access to features in deeper cavities or stepped part geometries without requiring a long-reach tool holder. It is a single-end tool intended for use in rigid CNC setups where runout control is critical at this diameter range.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter. Suitable for precision milling of hardened and difficult-to-machine materials where an AlTiN-coated, sub-millimeter solid carbide end mill is specified.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the 1/8-inch shank in a collet or end mill holder rated for this shank diameter and verify runout before cutting, as runout errors at sub-millimeter diameters significantly reduce tool life and cut accuracy. Power down and lock out the spindle before tool changes. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and cutting tool manufacturer feed and speed recommendations for the specific workpiece material and depth of cut.
