The HARVEY TOOL 32410-C4 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. It carries a 1/8-inch diameter, a 0.01-inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The amorphous diamond coating applied via PVD process improves wear resistance and surface finish quality across a wide range of materials. With an overall length of 1.5 inches and a length of cut of 0.5 inches, this is a stub-standard miniature end mill suited for close-tolerance finishing and light roughing passes in die, mold, and precision component work. Installation and setup are handled by machinists and CNC operators.
This end mill is built for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, corner-radius geometry is required. Compatible workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, wood, and composites. The corner radius geometry reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in demanding applications. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard collet-style toolholders. This tool is a single-end design, meaning it is not reversible and must be replaced when the cutting end is worn.
Designed for use with standard collet-style toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, wood, and composite materials per the manufacturer series designation for miniature corner radius end mills.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all motion is disabled before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Seat the shank fully within the collet to the recommended gauge length and torque the collet nut per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting, as excessive runout on small-diameter carbide tools accelerates edge chipping and premature failure.
