The HARVEY TOOL 32405-C4 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking and fabrication applications. It features a 1/8 inch diameter, a 0.005 inch corner radius, and four flutes with a right-hand spiral configuration. The cutting edge is finished with an amorphous diamond (PVD) coating, which improves hardness, reduces friction, and extends tool life across a wide range of workpiece materials. With a length of cut of 1/2 inch and an overall length of 1.5 inches, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in confined areas. Machinists and toolroom operators rely on this style of end mill for both roughing and finishing passes.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. It performs in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, wood, and composite materials. The single-end, straight-cylindrical shank fits standard toolholders, making it a straightforward drop-in for shops already running miniature end mill programs. It is part of the HARVEY TOOL Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series, which targets applications where corner edge protection and controlled radius blending are critical to part quality.
Compatible with standard toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills running miniature end mill programs across steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metal, aluminum, wood, and composite workpieces.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the toolholder collet and torque to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as runout errors are amplified at small diameters and can affect corner radius accuracy.
