The HARVEY TOOL 31893 is a miniature solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in tight geometries and small-feature machining applications. The 3/32 inch (0.093 inch) cutting diameter pairs with a 1/2 inch length of cut, providing extended reach capability without sacrificing rigidity. Three spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action across a range of workpiece materials. The uncoated bright finish makes this cutter well-suited for non-ferrous applications where coating buildup or thermal interaction is a concern. Installed by machinists and CNC operators, this end mill fits standard 1/8 inch collets and tool holders.
This end mill is appropriate for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and CFRP composite materials. The long-flute configuration extends the usable cutting length relative to the cutter diameter, making it practical for slotting, profiling, and pocketing in miniature components. It is a single-end, centercutting design, meaning it can be used for plunge entries as well as lateral passes. Typical applications include mold and die work, medical device components, aerospace detail parts, and any operation requiring a small-diameter end mill with extended reach.
Fits standard 1/8 inch collets and tool holders. Rated for use on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and CFRP materials per ISO material codes P, M, K, N, and C.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention system per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as runout is particularly critical at small cutter diameters.
