The HARVEY TOOL 31725-C3 is a double-end corner rounding end mill designed for machining precise radius profiles on workpiece edges and contours. Built from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers high hardness and heat resistance suited to dry or semi-dry cutting in ferrous and hardened materials. The tool produces a 1/8 inch radius on a 3/8 inch diameter cutter body with a 0.058 inch tip diameter. With two flutes and a flared corner rounding geometry, it provides controlled chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes on profiled edges. Overall length is 4 inches with a 3/8 inch shank diameter. It is installed in CNC machining centers and manual mills by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill fits standard milling operations where edge breaks, radius blends, or decorative corner profiles are required on metal parts. The double-end configuration provides two usable cutting ends, extending tool life between changes. Typical applications include aerospace components, mold and die work, and general precision machining in steel, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys where AlTiN coating performance is an advantage. The flared series geometry allows the tool to follow contoured surfaces while maintaining consistent radius output.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 3/8 inch shank. Part of the Harvey Tool Corner Rounding End Mills - 2 and 4 Flute - Flared series.
Installation is performed by machinists using standard end mill holders or collet chucks rated for the 3/8 inch shank diameter. Confirm runout and tool projection before cutting, as excessive overhang reduces rigidity on small-diameter carbide tools. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid impacts and do not use in applications with heavy interrupted cuts unless the tool is specified for that use. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines for spindle speeds and feed rates appropriate to the workpiece material and coating type.
