The HARVEY TOOL 28693 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. It features a 0.093 inch cutting diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The stub-length geometry keeps the flute section rigid, reducing deflection in miniature milling work. This single-end tool is centercutting, allowing both plunge and peripheral cuts. It ships in a bright, uncoated finish and is suited for both roughing and finishing passes. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical professionals do not typically install this part — it is used by machinists and tool-and-die technicians in precision machine shops.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for small-feature work in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, composites, and wood. The miniature diameter makes it well suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations where a full corner radius blend is required. The stub-standard flute length provides additional rigidity compared to extended-reach variants, making it a practical choice for high-speed finishing passes on small components with tight dimensional tolerances.
Compatible with standard straight-cylindrical toolholders accepting a 0.125 inch shank diameter. Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, composites, and wood.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Power down and de-energize the spindle completely before changing tooling. Secure the 0.125 inch straight shank in a compatible collet or toolholder and verify runout before initiating a cut. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and toolholder manufacturer guidelines for proper clamping torque and extension length.
