The HARVEY TOOL 26378-C3 is a miniature corner radius end mill designed for precision metal removal in tight-tolerance machining applications. Built from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) via a PVD process, it handles steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous metals. The tool measures 0.078 inches in diameter with a 0.005 inch corner radius, a 0.3126 inch length of cut, and a 1.5 inch overall length. With four right-hand spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix, it is suited for both roughing and finishing passes in a single-end configuration. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shop or production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is part of the Harvey Tool Miniature End Mills - Corner Radius - Stub and Standard series. It is sized for small-feature work where standard tooling is too large to reach. Typical applications include slotting, profiling, and contouring in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, composite, and non-ferrous materials. The 0.005 inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and helps extend tool life in demanding materials. The straight cylindrical shank at 0.125 inches diameter fits standard toolholders designed for that shank size.
Designed for use with standard toolholders accepting a 0.125 inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and composites as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom operator. Confirm the toolholder bore matches the 0.125 inch shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable limits before cutting. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Avoid side-loading forces that exceed the tool diameter-to-reach ratio recommended for miniature carbide end mills, as solid carbide is brittle and sensitive to deflection at small diameters.
