The HARVEY TOOL 23202-C3 is a single-end undercut end mill designed for machining operations that require relief below the cutting zone. Built from solid carbide with an AlTiN coating, it delivers hardness and heat resistance suited for ferrous and hardened materials. The tool measures 0.0312 inches in diameter with a 270-degree wrap angle and a length of cut of 0.027 inches. The 2-flute, right-hand cutting geometry provides chip clearance in tight pockets. With a shank diameter of 0.125 inches and an overall length of 1.5 inches, it fits standard collet systems common in CNC milling setups. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool where standard end mills cannot reach undercut profiles.
This undercut end mill is intended for precision CNC milling applications including undercutting, T-slot finishing, and relieving edges in tight geometries. Its small diameter and compact neck make it appropriate for micro-machining work in mold making, die work, and component finishing. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with CNC tooling setup. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tools. Seat the shank fully in the collet to the recommended engagement depth and torque the collet nut per the collet manufacturer specification. At this diameter, minimize runout and verify tool projection before cutting to reduce deflection risk.
