The HARVEY TOOL 23112 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 0.1875-inch (3/16-inch) mill diameter and a 0.1600-inch length of cut, this single-end tool is built for finishing passes, contouring, and profiling in tight geometries. The 4-flute configuration provides a good balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The bright uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous materials and applications where coating is not required. At 0.03 pounds, this is a lightweight, precision-ground tool intended for CNC machining centers and manual mills operated by machinists and tooling professionals.
This ball end mill is used in both shop and production environments where fine detail work, 3D contouring, or profiling in aluminum, brass, plastics, or similar materials is required. The 0.1250-inch neck length and 0.1170-inch neck diameter allow access to features with moderate depth without sacrificing rigidity. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction follow standard conventions for most CNC and manual milling setups. The 3/16-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in light to medium-duty machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/16-inch shank end mill holder or collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Use a calibrated torque wrench with the appropriate collet nut wrench to secure the shank — do not overtighten by hand. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and confirm feed and speed parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the tool.
