The HARVEY TOOL 22560 is a solid carbide Woodruff keyseat cutter designed for milling Woodruff keyseats in shafts and other precision machined components. It features a 0.375 inch cutting diameter and a 0.125 inch cutting width, making it suitable for cutting standard keyseat profiles with tight tolerances. The straight tooth configuration provides clean, controlled cuts in a range of materials. With an overall length of 2.5 inches and an uncoated bright finish, this cutter is installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on rotating shaft assemblies and power transmission components.
This cutter is suited for use on manual or CNC milling machines where Woodruff keyseats are required in shaft work, including drive shafts, spindles, and similar components. The 3/8 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet and end mill holders commonly found in machine shop environments. The 8-tooth configuration supports consistent chip load distribution across the cut width during keyseat operations.
Designed as a standard Woodruff keyseat cutter for use with 3/8 inch collets or end mill holders on manual and CNC milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists on milling equipment. Secure the shank fully in a collet or end mill holder and verify runout before cutting. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting the cutter. Always use appropriate feeds, speeds, and cutting fluid recommendations for solid carbide tooling in the workpiece material being machined.
