The HARVEY TOOL 20325-C3 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for high-precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. It features a 130-degree split point, a spiral flute geometry, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-heat cutting environments. The bit measures 3/64 inch (0.0469 inches) in diameter with a flute length of 0.395 inches and an overall length of 1.5 inches. The 1/8-inch shank is sized for standard miniature drill chucks and collet holders. This tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision hand-held setups.
The 20325-C3 is well suited for drilling small-diameter holes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless, aluminum, and similar materials where a standard high-speed steel bit would wear prematurely. Its right-hand spiral flute promotes efficient chip evacuation in deep micro-hole applications. The miniature series designation indicates it is built for work where dimensional accuracy and runout control are critical - typical in aerospace components, medical device fabrication, electronics housings, and precision mold work.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and precision drilling fixtures equipped with collet holders or drill chucks accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use of this tool should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with micro-drilling feeds, speeds, and runout tolerances. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck and verify runout before drilling to prevent bit breakage at this diameter. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting the bit. Avoid side-loading or prying forces - at 0.0469 inches in diameter, solid carbide is brittle and will fracture under lateral stress.
