The HARVEY TOOL 20250 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. Measuring 1/32 inch (0.0312 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 1.5 inches, this bit features a 130-degree split point angle that reduces walking and improves entry accuracy. The spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation during drilling. Right-hand cut direction is standard for use with conventional drill presses, CNC machines, and handheld drilling equipment. The bright, uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, composites, and other materials where coating buildup could be a concern. Machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators are the primary users of this bit.
This micro drill bit is intended for applications where small-diameter hole accuracy is critical. Typical uses include PCB drilling, instrument component manufacturing, watchmaking, jewelry fabrication, and fine metalwork. The 1/8-inch shank diameter allows it to seat securely in standard collet chucks and drill chuck systems commonly found in benchtop and CNC drilling setups. The 0.395-inch flute length provides adequate chip clearance for shallow-to-moderate depth holes at this diameter. This bit is sold individually and is appropriate for both production shop environments and single-piece precision work.
Designed for use in CNC drilling machines, drill presses, and precision handheld equipment equipped with collet or drill chucks accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use of this bit should be performed by machinists or trained fabricators familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are fully secured before starting the machine. Micro drill bits are brittle at small diameters — avoid lateral loading, excessive feed pressure, or unsupported workpiece movement, as these conditions commonly cause breakage. Always verify spindle runout is within tolerance before running micro-diameter tooling.
