The HARVEY TOOL 20200-C3 is a solid carbide micro drill bit designed for precision drilling in tight tolerances and small-diameter applications. Built to wire size 76, it machines a 0.0200-inch diameter hole with a 130-degree point angle that promotes accurate entry and reduces walking on hard materials. The AlTiN coating extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature cutting environments. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 1/8-inch shank, this bit fits standard collet chucks and drill chucks commonly found on CNC machining centers, mini mills, and precision drill presses. It is suited for machinists, toolmakers, and precision fabricators working in metals, composites, and hard plastics.
This micro drill bit is used in applications requiring very small bore diameters, including printed circuit board drilling, watch and instrument components, medical device manufacturing, and precision mold work. The right-hand spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation in deep or blind holes. The miniature series designation indicates it is built for high-rpm, low-feed-rate operations typical in precision machining environments where standard-size drills are too large for the feature being produced.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills equipped with toolholding capable of accepting a 1/8-inch shank. Suitable for drilling operations in metals, composites, and hard plastics requiring a 0.0200-inch diameter bore.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with micro-tooling practices. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and properly tightened before running at speed, as micro drills are highly susceptible to runout-induced breakage. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling. Use appropriate spindle speeds and feed rates for the workpiece material and consult published cutting data for carbide micro drills to avoid tool failure.
