The HARVEY TOOL 20130-C3 is a solid carbide micro drill bit engineered for precision drilling in tight-tolerance applications. Sized at wire gauge 81 with a decimal diameter of 0.0130 inches, this bit features a 130-degree point angle for accurate entry and reduced thrust. The spiral flute design promotes chip evacuation in confined bores. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating adds heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive or hard materials. The right-hand cut geometry is standard for conventional CNC and manual spindle use. At 1.5000 inches overall length with a 0.2300-inch flute length and a 1/8-inch shank, it seats in standard collets and drill chucks without adapters.
This micro drill bit is suited for precision machining operations in aerospace, medical device, electronics, and general metalworking applications. It is appropriate for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and high-speed spindles where small-diameter hole accuracy is critical. The 1/8-inch shank diameter makes it compatible with a wide range of standard toolholders. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with hardened steels, stainless, and high-temperature alloys will find the AlTiN coating particularly useful for maintaining edge integrity at elevated cutting speeds.
Designed for use in standard 1/8-inch collets, chucks, and toolholders on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and high-speed micro-drilling spindles requiring wire-gauge 81 drill capacity.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists familiar with small-diameter tooling. Secure the 1/8-inch shank fully in the collet or chuck to minimize runout before engaging the workpiece. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle completely before changing or inspecting tooling. Due to the small diameter, avoid side-loading and excessive feed rates that can cause breakage.
