The HARVEY TOOL 17100 is a solid carbide corner rounding end mill designed to produce consistent, radius-edged profiles on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It carries a 0.1 inch corner radius and a 0.25 inch mill diameter, with a double-end configuration that extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends. The bright, uncoated finish makes it suitable for a range of base materials where coating adhesion or heat buildup is a concern. With two flutes and a 2.0 inch overall length, it is built for precision profiling operations on CNC machining centers and manual mills where edge quality and dimensional accuracy are required.
This end mill fits standard applications in job shops, toolrooms, and production machining environments. It is used to break sharp edges, add decorative radii, or produce functional corner profiles on parts machined from aluminum, brass, steel, and similar materials. The 0.25 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER and straight-bore collet systems commonly used in vertical machining centers and CNC routers. The double-end design is particularly useful in high-volume environments where reducing tooling changeover time matters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option within the Corner Rounding End Mills 2 and 4 Flute Flared series. Compatible with standard 1/4 inch collet holders and tool holders used on CNC vertical machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and machine power locked out per standard lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the 0.25 inch shank fully and evenly in the collet before tightening to the collet nut torque range specified by the tool holder manufacturer. Inspect both cutting ends for chipping or wear before use. Do not exceed the recommended surface footage or feed rates for the workpiece material being machined.
