The HARVEY TOOL 17032-C3 is a double-end corner rounding end mill designed for precise edge-breaking and radius profiling on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. Built from solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN coating, this tool handles elevated cutting temperatures and extends tool life in demanding milling environments. It carries a 0.03 mm (0.0320 inch) corner radius, a 1/8 inch mill diameter, and a 0.0460 inch tip diameter. With 2 flutes and a double-end configuration, it offers efficient chip evacuation and additional tool life per shank. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, or precision manufacturing will find this tool well-suited for finishing passes and edge-radius work.
This end mill is used in CNC milling applications where a controlled corner radius is required on part edges, slots, or profiles. The flared corner rounding geometry places it in the 2 and 4 Flute Flared Corner Rounding End Mills series, making it applicable to light finishing cuts in materials where AlTiN coating performance is advantageous, such as hardened steels, stainless, and titanium alloys. It is suited for vertical machining centers and multi-axis CNC platforms running tight-tolerance work.
Designed for use in CNC milling machines and machining centers accepting 1/8 inch shank toolholders, collets, or end mill holders. Part of the HARVEY TOOL Corner Rounding End Mills 2 and 4 Flute Flared series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before tool changes. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully and evenly in the collet or toolholder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth before tightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation, as carbide tooling is sensitive to improper seating and can chip or fracture under eccentric loading.
